Learn more about the Border Collie.
Ritzy Rescue and Posh Puppy are programs created by CVRR to feature Purebred and Designer dogs. Many of our purebreds are rescued from local puppy mills; some are surrendered by owners who can no longer care for them. Designer dogs (blended breeds of highly desirable breeds) are sometimes found in local kill shelters, surrendered to us by backyard breeders and occasionally just dumped off near our foster homes. All of our Ritzy and Posh dogs are in need of loving, nurturing homes. Many of them come to us with a serious lack of socialization, malnourished, unvaccinated and desperately in need of grooming and dental care. We place them in foster homes, attend to their physical and emotional needs and begin the process of finding suitable forever homes. Many of these dogs have good bloodlines , meet breed standards and would sell for anywhere from $400 to $1500 through the breeders. Applicants who meet our strict screening criteria will be able to adopt Ritzy Resuces for a donation of $200. Posh Puppy features purebred or designer puppies less than six months of age. They will be available to qualified adopters for a donation of$250. If you are interested in providing a loving home for a Ritzy Rescue or Posh Puppy you must compete an online application and then email BJ at cvrr@verizon.net We will only respond to interested parties who have completed applications online. Thank you. Attention Border Collie lovers- Babe is a darling little bundle of energy. She is smart as a whip- she has learned leash manners, sit and down in one day. Babe is working on her crate and house training also. She is great wtih other dogs, cats, horses and just about everything she meets! You must do the breed research before completing an application. She needs a home where she can live up to her potential- she needs lots of activity and we want her to be an indoor dog. She would be terrific at either agility or flyball. Babe got herself tangled in a fence recently and broke her left rear leg. It was a clean, simple fracture and is mending beautifully. She will need to be confined to very moderate activity until the end of April. Her surgery was a bit expensive, as is her follow up care. If you would like to help with the cost- please contact us.
