Monte and Crista (who has already found her forever home) were seen being dumped out of a car in the country. They hid in a orange grovew for several days and would return to the middle of the road to try to find their people, ignoring the vehicles trying to use the road. Eventually they sought safety in an abandoned shed where one of our volunteers was able to finally get them and bring them to safety. They were in horrific condition- both physically and mentally- but after weeks of patience, TLC grooming, and vet care they are now ready to move on to their forever homes. They love cats and other dogs, enjoy playing but most of all love snuggling next to their person.
Ritzy Rescue and Posh Puppy are programs created by CVRR to feature Purebred and Designer dogs. Many of our purebreds are rescued from local puppy mills; some are surrendered by owners who can no longer care for them. Designer dogs (blended breeds of highly desirable breeds) are sometimes found in local kill shelters, surrendered to us by backyard breeders and occasionally just dumped off near our foster homes.
All of our Ritzy and Posh dogs are in need of loving, nurturing homes. Many of them come to us with a serious lack of socialization, malnourished, unvaccinated and desperately in need of grooming and dental care. We place them in foster homes, attend to their physical and emotional needs and begin the process of finding suitable forever homes.
